DA STORY:

IGNiT was started in summer of 1994, in the $#!+ hole town of EUREKA, CALIFORNIA. (see photo at left)

Originally named RADIOACTIVE DEATH, the "band" was formed by: BERTO SALAS on guitar and vocals, SCOTT VIDES on bass, CHRIS PULITANO on lead guitar, and TYLER WALL on drums. The funny thing is, none of the members even owned any of these instruments! They just SAID they were in a band! This lineup only practiced once, on some borrowed equipment of course. "Drummer" TYLER WALL was soon out of the band.

In late 1995 they got their parents to buy them instruments and practice amps.

In 1996 they changed their name to IGNiT.

In 1997 the band began weekly rehearsals, which mostly consisted of smoking pot. Later that year they changed their name to REDRUM.

In mid 1998, lead guitarist CHRIS PULITANO was replaced by MATT ARRISSON. This lineup was named SEDITION, but only lasted a few months, because MATT ARRISSON moved away, and a drummer was never found.

Later that year, TOM LAZIO joined the band, and CHRIS PULITANO rejoined. At this time the band upgraded to big amps, and the four of them chipped in and bought a drum set. This new incarnation, which featured BERTO SALAS & CHRIS PULITANO switching on guitar & drums, and SCOTT VIDES & TOM LAZIO switching on guitar & bass, was named LOOCH. Then AHRON SHERMAN joined the band as lead vocalist. This lineup only played one show, then broke up soon after.

In mid 1999 guitarist BERTO SALAS, and bassist SCOTT VIDES, started playing with drummer JAMES BASS and named the band M.J.R.C. Their friend SESAR GARCIA tried out as vocalist, but was soon replaced by AHRON SHERMAN.

M.J.R.C. played a couple of shows, and recorded a 7 song demo. Then JAMES BASS switched from drums to backup vocals, and JUNIOR VALANTE became the drummer. The band changed their name to CHOKETHROAT. This lineup played a couple of shows, but then broke up due to a whole lotta bull $#!+.

In early 2000, guitarist BERTO SALAS, bassist SCOTT VIDES, and vocalist AHRON SHERMAN, found drummer VINCE LOWN, and the band decided to call themselves IGNiT once again!!!

This lineup played tons of shows throughout HUMBOLDT COUNTY, and recorded a 12 song demo titled "GREATEST HITS".

In early 2001, guitarist BERTO SALAS, bassist SCOTT VIDES, and vocalist AHRON SHERMAN, left EUREKA, and moved 5 hours south to the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. There they found drummer JASON LEGORE.

This lineup played a bunch of shows around SONOMA COUNTY, and recorded an 8 song demo titled "2001".

In mid 2002, vocalist AHRON SHERMAN quit the band, and moved back to EUREKA. Longtime friend of the band SESAR GARCIA stepped in as vocalist, and drummer JASON LEGORE was replaced by SALIM DURRANI.

This lineup played many shows all over the BAY AREA, and recorded an unfinished album.

In mid 2006, drummer SALIM DURRANI moved away, and former drummer JASON LEGORE rejoined the band.

This lineup played alot of shows around the BAY AREA.

In mid 2008 the band was kicked out of their practice room, because guitarist BERTO SALAS was living there.

In the summer of 2009 the band officially called it quits.

The unfinished album will still probably be released.
